New Vision RV Park 3-11-2019
After our really full day in Nashville area we are continuing our trek north to Indiana to get the RV fixed. Today we find ourselves on secondary roads, which we prefer, headed to New Vision RV Park. The country road we are on we find the traffic coming to a halt, from where I can see a truck has driven off the road in to a ditch and not too long ago, we are about third in line, there are a few dot guys directing traffic with the state troopers just arriving. Not sure what happened but on this country road it brings things to a halt. After about 20 minutes we get the word it could be hours before cleared, we can’t back up or turn around without unhooking the Mini. I start the process which, I’m getting proficient at. The trooper see’s our dilemma and allows to get turned around. We head back to the highway in hopes to recover our lost time. We want to get there before the RV office closes if possible. The weather is warm today but will get below freezing tonight. We are crossing the Ohio River near Evansville IN heading towards Oaktown, Indiana and New Vision RV Park, most of the rivers are swollen due to winter rains. We get in late but manager gets us set up and I get a shower in their basement facility. Not sure why RV parks always seem to be near railroad tracks or industrial sites, this one is no different.
