6-23-2020 Bend Oregon

The sun greets us this morning as it does often in Bend OR, the plan today is grab some lunch at Spork, one of our favorites in downtown Bend and then off to Wickiup Reservoir to test our inflatable canoe. Spork has many good things to enjoy but the $3.00 tacos are the best. The picture below shows their food truck where they got their start but, they do have indoor dinning. after loving what we eat off to Wickiup Reservoir just outside La Pine Oregon, its in the 90’s today and getting wet sounds good. This reservoir is famous for its brown trout that can get up to 26 lbs. I did bring my fly rod but at 90+ degrees out today they have gone deep. Back to Bend and another great restaurant called Pastini, they have a number of location in the Willamette valley but what could be better than to dine next to the Deschutes River. My favorite is their carbonara and Angela had rigatoni with asparagus. The air is cooling off as it usually does each night so a walk through Drake Park in downtown Bend sounds good.
