Headed to Mt Hood RV Resort 10-1-2018

It’s 30 degrees and cold, glad the furnace works, frost on lots of things. We bring the sliders in and unplug, my mind full of all the things we need to get done today. There is a steady stream of RVs from pickup campers to class A’s driving by making their own exit. We now get to see the RV park in the light of day and wish we could stay and enjoy the wilderness we were surrounded by last night. Note the picture of the RV and children is not ours but depicts the site we were in. Down the road back to Bend with our first stop at Walmart now our favorite store, they carry lots of RV stuff at the most favorable prices. We head to the Just Used Cars to drop off our Honda Van to be sold and pickup our new, used Mini Cooper (tow vehicle). Some of us get more attached to vehicles than others and yes, I’m one of those. It was hard to say goodbye to the Rodyssey, its nick name is due to its more than stock motor and sound. We loaded the Copper with excess boxes from the RV and headed to our next stop Mt Hood RV resort and getting a later start than we wanted knowing we would arrive in the dark the drive was beautiful with fall colors surrounding us on both sides. Some sadness leaving friends and the herbal smell of Central Oregon. We arrive past check-in but found a friendly soul to check us in and find our spot among the trees.
