Fort Walton Beach Fl 12-6-2018

This a duplicate date that I already wrote about but there was an event that same day I think you will find interesting. It was early in the morning and my wife Angela woke up with severe heart palpitations, we had similar problems in Portland Oregon that I wrote about, the difference in this case is that it was very early in the morning and most Urgent Care places were not open or a long way away. The only place to go was the hospital 20 miles away. As we probably spoke about before Angela has a Healthcare Sharing Ministries coverage Called Liberty Health Share which is unlike regular health insurance and is not well known to most medical institutions. This can be a problem in urgent situations, you of course do not want to jeopardize anyone’s health because of lack of coverage. Angela knew this would be a problem if we called an ambulance but her situation was getting worse and needed attention immediately. We called Santa Rosa Lifeguard Emergency Services and they got to us within minutes, everyone was very professional and stabilized Angela’s situation, They said to me drive your car and meet us at the ER end of Fort Walton Beach Hospital. Little did they know that because of my high level of adrenaline and my car being a Mini Cooper S that I would beat them there. Once in the ER they were very attentive and wanted to eliminate that it was a heart attack. Angela’s blood pressure and heart rate was up to198/120, pretty scary. They soon found that Angela was not suffering from a heart attack, they were very thorough with their testing and after about 3 hrs the doctor came back in and prescribed a beta blocker which would serve two purposes, first to lower her blood pressure but as a bonus side effect it would lessen her anxiety, a perfect combo for Angela. After being released and getting all the paper work filled out we resumed our day. So make sure you are prepared for any emergency situation, when you are on the road in a unfamiliar area and new doctors you better be prepared. The story has not ended yet, 5 months latter we are still working with Liberty Health Share and the hospital to get a $26,000 bill paid, yes you heard me right $26,000. We are hoping that it will be resolved soon. You may ask why Liberty Health Share, well a standard health insurance policy would be about $795.00 a month which covers little except catastrophic problems, Angela’s share to Liberty Health Share is $249.00 a month with a $1,000 deductible.
