Gulf Breeze 12-23-2018
Its sunny and bright as we head across the Navarre bridge to explore the Gulf Island National Seashore Hwy 399. It’s a very narrow road but still has a bike path. The sand drifts across the road in a many place’s as there is a brisk wind. The road is only about 10 miles long until you hit Gulf Breeze/Pensacola, you know when you have gotten to the end as there is a collection of high-rise condos to greet your entrance in to the commercial area of Gulf Breeze. We find a parking place pretty easily which would not be so easy in season. Lots of restaurants all siting on the beach of both bodies of water. I noticed one restaurant that was made out of shipping containers which is a pretty hip construction concept these days, it also had a novel name Red Fish Blue Fish, can’t tell you how many times I read that story to my kids. We wonder in and find the interior as interesting as the exterior, I look it up and see its actually it is owned by Innisfree Hotels who also owns Jellys Eatery nearby. We were at first very impressed but the food came slowly and when it did come the fish portion very small. I complained and the manager was understanding comping us the lunch.
