Naples/Sanabel Fl 1-29-2019
Today is surgery day on my forehead as we made arrangements back in Navarre to get this done. Every other street corner in Naples FL has a dermatology clinic on it, with all the sun worshipers here its no wonder. I was fortunate to get referred to a fine clinic with Mohs surgeons called The Woodruff Institute and thankful for Medicare. The pictures below are before and after, if that does not make you want to take care of your skin nothing will. Rebecca W. Lambert, M.D. and Jonathan E. Sonne, M.D. a husband & wife team was the medical team to work on me today. The office was opulent and very busy. They bring me into the surgery room and a assistant prepares me for the doctor, I’m somewhat nervous as this is on my face, the area causing the problem is about the size of a dime so I’m hoping for a small incision and not much of a scare, Boy was I wrong. I do realize that they need to cut outside the margin to assure they got it all but this was much bigger than I expected. So now bandage time and again surprised at the size of the bandage. We leave to go downtown Naples to explore and have lunch. It’s always nice to see the city pay tribute to the fallen hero’s with a memorial downtown. We struggle to decide where to eat well I should say Angela struggles with all the choices, I could eat at subway, Alberto’s wins the choice as their menu outside says they have organic chicken. I have to say this was a great choice for atmosphere, service and fantastic food. After lunch we did some more walking and with many people starring at my huge bandage, I just tell them Angela swings a mean bat 🙂 We find an ice cream store Adelheidi’s, gluten free and organic, it was delicious.
