Clermont FL 2-6-2019

Up early and heading into Orlando for a dry run to see how long it takes to get there as we want to be prompt when we meet Emily for the Disneyworld tour on February 12th. We also are going to shop for some slip-on shoes for myself to wear outside the RV but can get off easily, no shoes in the RV. There are toll roads in central Florida and we may go buy a Sunpass so we don’t have to avoid them or have quarters available, usually the toll roads are also quicker. We make our way to the Millenia Mall a shoppers paradise, we find the food court and two of our favorites, Chipotle and Chick Filet. After a successful meal and a stop by the Nordstrom Rack we venture thru the heavy traffic over to a Academy store where I’m hopeful for some footwear. I have been doing my due diligence shopping online but with a finicky foot trying it on is always a good idea. I had a shoe in mind from Columbia Sportswear that I already have a pair but, for indoor use only. Academy runs a good store with a huge selection but the staff is thin and not always informed. I find the shoe called Bahama Vent, its light weight with a fold down heal, I have been spoiled in the past that I usually get my shoes either highly discounted or at wholesale because of my years in the business but, not now they want $75 and I just cant do it. I have not been a great fan of Croc’s over the years but, they had a rack of them there on sale so I tried them on, they were surprisingly comfortable for a narrow footed guy, I think because they had a fleece lining. I bought them for 21.95 and I’m a happy camper. We are too late to make it to the Sunpass office so we will do it another day.
