Lancaster CA, 2-16-2020

We are awaken to the beautiful sound of high performance cars heading into the track. I lose track of time when traveling and did not realize this was Saturday and what happens on Saturdays in many towns and especially Weather Tech Raceway This is no ordinary Cars and Coffee get together, there is probably 400 cars of all shapes and sizes and to top it off a group of independent racers from San Francisco arrive for their track day, I peed my pants a little bit! Angela was sleeping in and I was running around the inside track in hopes to see it all.

Our coast route continues through the beautiful Carmel by the sea area and down to Big Sur still looking as hip as it did in the sixties. We decide to make it to San Luis Obispo Whole Foods for lunch. We always enjoy Whole Foods buffet for it’s great variety and healthy food. Moving from Hwy 1 to Hwy 101 towards Lancaster, CA and The California RV Resort for our next overnight stay. We pass through Santa Barbara and get on Hwy 126 going east towards San Clarita and then Lancaster. The building going on this route is unbelievable, shopping centers, industrial centers and of course 7 Flags. We arrive as the sun is setting and glad to be in nice and safe RV park.
