Wallowa 9-1-2020
One of my dreams at least of fishing was to do it in shorts, consider that dream come true. To do this only a few feet from our RV parking spot was another pleasure, even Angela got her rod out. The owners of Wallowa RV Park took great pride in their place. They had a beautiful home at the back end of the property and as long as we were there they were out there making it look good. Leaving the river behind we walked through the town of Wallowa, this did not take long as its only a few blocks long. We came across an interesting place called Melincko’s Museum, now if you are not familiar with the word Melincko’s, Laureano Mier will tell you all about it. Laureano created the Melincko’s Aero Museum and Café July 2020, we highly suggest you stop by. With an eclectic collection of airplanes and other memorabilia you will receive an education about airplane history. Our walk also took us to the Homeland Project which educated us on the Nez Perce Indians and the real history of what happened here. The Nez Perce Indians come here, set up their Tepee’s and celebrate their history and culture.
