Greetings fellow RVers, today we are doing a DIY window insulating job. We did find a pre-made one for our entry door that works well but had a problem finding one to fit our rear window so, I decided to make one myself which turned out to be better anyway. Our rear window is in our bedroom like so many RV’s as it also serves as an exit window in case of emergencies. It’s an odd shape as it has three separate pieces to it. Originally, I thought I could cover the whole window but the shade that is built into the window would not be able to function so, cutting custom pieces to fit each window area works very well. The material is not thick but it does have aluminum foil on both sides with air pockets in between, it’s easy to cut and after measuring it was very simple to install. Don’t assume that the side windows are the same size, mine were not. I will get better at the video thing as I have many other tips and DIY projects to show you.
