Fort Myers FL 1-25-2019
We are headed farther south to the Fort Myers area to a RV park called Sunseekers. We made a reservation and then found out it was part of the Thousand Trails system so we could stay at a discounted price. Before we get there, we travel through downtown Fort Myers looking for a place to eat but find our 42-foot RV is not conducive to downtown parking, we see a Publix Market one of our favorites and know their parking is generally generous, we do find a spot and go to their deli. They make the best deli sandwich ever for like $7 and its big enough to split. We sit in our RV watching the torrential downpour. We arrive after office hours, so the manager said for us to find our assigned space and we can check in the next day. As we pull into this somewhat rundown RV park with no welcome packet or direction of where the space might be and now the rain is coming down in buckets, after circling around the park with poorly marked spaces we find the space, I get out to survey the spot and see it has no septic hookup, I’m soaked by now and with a neighbor looking on I ask if there was a after-hours number I could call the manager, he was nice enough to give it to me. I have Angela call as I un-hook the Mini so we could maneuver. The manager said we would have to drive around to find a space, many of the spaces were not complete with utilities so it took us awhile, we were not happy.
That’s a half sandwich, WOW
