Missouri City Texas 11-1-2019
We arrive at Missouri City Texas where our good friends the Halls have invited us to stay at their beautiful new home. Our friendship goes back 30 years when Angela worked with Joanne at Nordstrom and they were neighbors in Anchorage Alaska. I have not spoken much about the RV problems we have had which seem to be chronic with new models, it does not seem to matter what manufacture, with the rush to get them out because of the high demand quality control goes out the window. Our biggest problem has been the refrigerator not working so we have been managing with a small plug in cooler. The other issue of when you have problems even if you are in home city is, they are so busy they can be booked out weeks in advance to get things fixed. After calling many RV service centers around the Missouri City area and coordinating with the factory to get the warranty work done, we find that Ron Hoover in Katy TX will accommodate us. After getting settled at our friend’s house, we head over to Katy TX about 30 miles away and in traffic it could easily take 45 mins to drop off the RV, thankfully our Mini Copper is our ride home. The service people at Ron Hovers are very nice but after looking at the problems and there were a number of other problems, they said to get authorization and parts that it will take weeks. Our friends say stay as long as you want, we were very thankful.
We made many side trips to not only explore this part of Texas but do some of the practical things like buy groceries. One of our favorites was Whole Foods in Sugar Land not only for some of the things we needed but their buffet which always had a great selection.
As a side attraction they had a bar inside their store with Foo’s Ball one Angela’s favorites, did I mention she cheats!
