Pala RV Resort 2-21-2020
Well we certainly got exercise yesterday hiking around Joshua Tree NP and have worked up an appetite for lunch down town Joshua Tree, we pack up the RV and say goodbye to JTLRV and head down the road to the city of Joshua Tree. Tourists are pouring in for the weekend and most restaurants and shops are packed, Angela has found a healthy restaurant called Natural Sisters Café . The line is out the door and I’m too hungry to wait so Angela stays and I walk down main street and find another place. Ah yes, Thai food one of my favorites cuisines, most Thai places are family run and this place is no different, Royal Siam Cuisine . Its not often I eat alone these days so I finish up my tom yum soup and head back to Angela. I spot a bakery on my way and with a name like Boos Organic Oven who could resist, this place is busy as well but very well run. I’m in line and before I could make up my mind about all the choices they had under the large plastic covers its my turn. I’m a cookie fancier so a snickerdoodle calls out my name and yes I did save a bite for Angela. She is just finishing up her veggie wrap and kale salad when I enter the restaurant. Angela is very pleased with her meal and also pleased I left her a bite of my cookie. We walk back to the RV a few blocks away and the only place we could find that was big enough for rig (42′) and then head down Hwy 62 towards Pala RV Resort our next resting place. We arrive late in the day but find the RV Resort beautifully laid out , the staff friendly and the spaces extra large. The Pala Casino is right next door with many restaurants and gambling if you choose.
