Palm Desert 2-17-2020
The weather is warm and inviting, our stay at California RV Resort was pleasant and we would recommend this place. Our journey will be taking us to Palm Desert today with a stop in Beaumont for lunch at Pollo Loco a good, inexpensive place to eat. We’re looking forward to seeing my sister and her husband, Otto since it has been a while when we last saw them. This time of year the weather in Palm Desert is perfect, still warm enough to wear a hat and sunscreen however not so hot to sap your energy. We arrive at my sisters which is in a very nice neighborhood, Otto has checked with his HOA and it’s ok to park our RV in front of their house for a few days. I always carry a grounded100 ft extension cord so I can plug into house power, you will also need a 110 RV adapter which I have as well. Keeping the fridge cold with electricity is a preference over LP, we like to save the LP for when we are on the road or without power. My sister Jan and Otto have a beautiful place, single level and a typical Palm Desert style with a pool of course. Jan is our tour guide through downtown Palm Springs, now we know where the rich shop and eat, shop after shop full of expensive goods with a plethora of fine restaurants to choose from. We stop at a Starbucks for a coffee pick me up, it was busy with a blend of locals and tourists. Otto has decided to take us out to dinner tonight to one of his and my favorite places, The Cheesecake Factory in Rancho Mirage CA. I am never disappointed with their food or service and the Meatloaf is usually my choice when we visit the Cheesecake Factory. Thank you Otto and Jan!
