Pendleton OR, 8-30-2020

We rested well even with the wind blowing, I needed some filters for the water system so we stopped at Home Depot Dalles Oregon. It close to lunch time and  there is a taco shop just up the street called Taqueria Mi Pueblito, it was excellent and reasonable. Maryhill Winery is beautiful, resting on the south facing slopes overlooking the Columbia River. They have created a place for events and a restaurant to complete the atmosphere. Just down the road we have the State of Washington’s version of Stonehenge with dramatic views of the Columbia River. This not just a replica but the first ww1 memorial dedicated to the servicemen of Klickitat servicemen 1918. The Maryhill Museum was not far away but closed due to Covid. Our destination today is Wildhorse Casino outside of Pendleton OR. It will be a safe, free place to park for the night. We were drawn in to the Casino as they hoped we would and found a Sports Bar inside that served fried green beans and a great Caesar salad, washing it down with Blue Moon Beer (my favorite).
