Another trip to Pensacola FL this Sunday and lunch time is upon us, we find this great little restaurant in a inside mall on Palafox St. With a name like Pot Roast and Pinot how could it not be good. The seating is tight inside but it flows out to the mall where a all you can drink mimosas bar is set up. The cooking area is exposed to the seating area which is always interesting to watch. We open the menu to some great sounding items, I always like hash and they have peppered pastrami and hash, I’m sold, Angela has the organic tofu what a surprise! We are delighted with the food and decide to top it off with handmade smores, oh boy, so so rich. We need to walk this meal off so down this interesting street called Palafox we go, window shopping a along the way. We find a food truck area just off Palafox St. Al Fresco and if we had not just eaten I would eat again. At the end of the street we have come to the Palafox Pier and stroll by the big boats and over to the sea wall to find fisherman casting into the Gulf of Mexico. The Pelicans know a good thing because the fisherman catch fish and gut them right there, guess who gets the left overs. On our walk back we are on the other side of the street, The Old Escambia County Building has been turned into The Artel Gallery , it’s such a great looking building with its stone façade and columns, glad they were able to make use of it. We slip into the Rusty Arrow gift shop for a look and found many interesting items to include life sayings. We recommend if you are in the area to take a look.
