Pensacola FL 1-6-2019
Pensacola FL is our goal today, with so many things to see we start with the 5 Sisters Blues Café. This will be our second time back. This great place is part of the revival of the blues music area in town called Belmont-DE Villiers neighborhood. For years this area was famous for its music mostly the blues but it fell in disrepair until most recently. They have live music Thursday thru Sunday. The service was excellent, the southern menu to die for, pictures below do not do them justice, click on the 5 Sisters Blues Café to go to their website. The bloody Mary’s were $5 and a meal in themselves. After Brunch it was time for a walk, we chose the Historic North Hill area to enjoy all the historic homes. The pictures below are just a few and wish they were better. Its always interesting to see the past as we did to include a very old cemetery, in contrast we found this interesting artsy park with a fountain made of glass bottles. The trees around here are also incredible with a history of their own. Old Town Pensacola was fascinating as well, Angela finds a coffee shop called Fosko that has been here since 1905. The pelican statues you find around town is one of Pensacola’s trade marks.
