Portland OR Alarm Install 10-2-2018
We headed into Portland this morning with Angela following me in the Cooper and all of a sudden I receive a call from Angela saying the awning on one of the slide outs is flapping in the wind, I find a safe place to pull over to inspect what is going on. I get out and can see the awning is slightly out from the roll and it looks torn, I crawl up on the roof and can see the awning is stuck on top of the front slider facia and I work with it to get rolled up. The caps on the facia are dis-lodged and I remove them so they would not blow off in traveling. Another RV failure, I get on the phone and email to find a local RV repair person to fix it, Andy from Big Country sends me to Oregon RV, we are headed to the coast after we get the alarm installed. It’s mandatory for the slide to work as we will have 6 more people we are meeting at the coast. We arrived at Car Toys for an RV alarm install, Car-Toys Clackamas OR. I highly recommend them for their professionalism, price and timely install. I researched many ways to alarm our RV (C Class Chevy) and did not want the EMF that so many other alarms were using to be connected, the system we chose was a Clifford 3806X this system uses a two way radio wave good for about 3,000 feet of distance. They also installed an alarm on our side entry door, this keyless alarm system does the job and does not have a monthly charge that the others require.
