Woodlawn Beach 12-19-2018
Today It’s cool and overcast and we decide to go for a walk a nature trail, I find one in Gulf Breeze a community just north of Navarre along the coast. Angela has her coffee and one of her healthy muffins. We start out at Woodlawn Beach and meander down the road admiring the homes and the coastal architecture. As you can see Christmas decorations sometimes have a sense of humor. We run across a couple working in their yard and strike up a conversation, their property is right on the gulf and you can tell its their weekend retreat. The conversation moves towards where are you from and of course it gets to Alaska, people are always intrigued when Alaska is mentioned. He says so you probably saw a few bears and I said more than saw, I love to fish and so do they so we need to get along when we can. He said well I have a problem bear who keeps coming on to the property and causing a mess, I said I may have a solution unless its already gone Yogi bear on you. I said of course not having anything on the property he might be interested in is first, second is to have things they don’t like, I use to spray bleach on my boats and coolers when camping in the wilderness of Alaska, they never came into camp when I would do that and there were always plenty of bears around. He said he was using a hot wire but could not keep it charged, I suggested a solar battery setup. at any rate we enjoyed the conversation but wanted to continue the nature walk down the street. We find this water & treat box for pets walking down the street, very clever and kind. finding the trail entrance was a little more difficult but we do find it, with just a few other people there we have the place pretty much to ourselves.
